In 1977, a dream took root in Ajman. A small group of Japanese families envisioned a place where their children could thrive, fostering a spirit of community that led to the establishment of the Japanese Language: "MODEC AJMAN JAPANESE SCHOOL."
Expanding Horizons:
By 1979, with a desire to serve a wider community, we received permission from the Dubai government to establish a formal school within Dubai itself. Our journey began in Deira, Dubai, and in 1987, we moved to our current location in the heart of Al Wasl.
A Tradition of Excellence:
Over four decades, the Dubai Japanese School (DJS) has had the privilege of educating thousands of students. We cater to children of all backgrounds who share a strong connection to Japanese education based on Japanese language and culture. This includes:
A Seamless Education under the Japanese Ministry of Education:
The Japanese School in Dubai provides a nurturing environment for all our students. We follow the esteemed Japanese education system, overseen by the Japanese Ministry of Education (MEXT). MEXT provides the curriculum, dispatches qualified teachers directly from Japan, and administers all major exams. This ensures a smooth transition for your child's academic journey, whether they are continuing from a Japanese school or integrating into the system for the first time.
Dedicated Faculty, Authentic Curriculum:
Our passionate teachers, under agreement with MEXT, bring their expertise and the latest curriculum directly from Japan. This ensures a high-quality educational experience that prepares students for future academic endeavours in Japan.
More Than Just Academics:
At DJS, we go beyond textbooks. We foster a strong sense of community, creating a home away from home for Japanese families. We believe in fostering lifelong learners who are steeped in Japanese culture while embracing the multicultural tapestry of Dubai.
Join Our Legacy:
Become part of a vibrant community dedicated to preserving and nurturing Japanese heritage in Dubai. Explore the exceptional opportunities we provide and embark on this journey of academic excellence and cultural immersion with your child.
Our Values:
DJS is dedicated to providing a comprehensive and enriching educational experience for all students connected to Japanese language and culture.
